Clinical Audiologist

“I remember one woman who had stopped participating in activities that she enjoyed because of her hearing loss. She loved to go bird watching but was no longer able to because she could not hear the bird calls. She was fit with hearing aids and after wearing them for a month, she hugged me and said, ‘I got my life back. Thank you for helping me hear the birds sing again.’ This is why I love the field of audiology.”

Professional and Personal Experience

“I have worked in the field of audiology for over 40 years with the vast majority of my career being in an ENT practice performing diagnostic testing of both hearing and balance as well as fitting hearing aids. This has helped me to better understand the medical aspects of the ear and hearing and how it relates to a person’s overall health and wellbeing. I have worn hearing aids since 2012 after a sudden hearing loss.  I have been able to experience personally how hearing loss affected my life and my relationships with those I love, and how hearing aids made a significant difference in my hearing and relating to others. This has benefited me greatly as an audiologist, allowing me to better understand the impact of hearing loss in a person’s life. I have walked in the steps of my patients adjusting to something new and different in my life and have seen the improvement as a result of wearing hearing aids.”

Providing Better Hearing through Advanced Technology

“It is important to me to keep my patients informed of the newest technology in hearing aids and how these advancements can make a significant difference in hearing those people most important to you. I make it a priority to attend as many training and educational seminars as possible to keep abreast of the latest developments in hearing instruments.”

Long Term Relationships

“I feel that the relationship with my patients is the key to helping them achieve a solution to their hearing challenges. Hearing loss is not a one-size- fits-all model, and I thoroughly enjoy forming relationships with my patients to ensure that each of their own unique hearing needs is addressed. I have many patients I have been helping for well over 25 years.”
